Marine Solutions
Access to fresh water at sea is not just a necessity but a lifeline, ensuring mariners to sail without concerns about relying on disposable bottles or other unreliable practices. Thanks to the latest technology by Spectra watermakers, our marine solutions make life aboard simple and easy.
Spectra specializes in small-medium scale desalination systems with proven highest efficiency and reliability technology designed for any type of ocean going vessels, passenger ferries, leisure boats or service boats and for any operational conditions at sea.
Our product line ranges from hand operated desalinators that can make 6 gallons a day to our largest fully automated system that produces 20,000 gallons of fresh, potable water per day. All watermakers adjust automatically, as part of the hydraulic design, to changes in water temperature and salinity, so there is no need to make adjustments in different climates, bays, rivers or oceans.
Hand Operated
The Survivor series are the world’s smallest desalinators and are essential for any emergency kit. You don’t have to sacrifice safety because of space or weight constraints. The Survivor 06 and the Survivor 35 are used widely by the U.S. and international military groups, voyagers, and adventurers worldwide. These systems are durable and long-lasting so you will never be left without fresh water in an emergency.
Powered
We make rugged watermakers designed for the harsh marine environment. Our highly efficient PowerSurvivor 12-volt systems produce a plentiful supply of drinking water while putting the least demand on your power supplies. Our Ventura series features industry leading efficiency, with modular simplicity and reliability. The Cape Horn Extreme systems feature redundant feed pumps, for added peace of mind when operating in extreme environments.
Automated
The Spectra Connect allows you to monitor and control your watermaker on a computer, smart phone, or tablet from the boat‘s existing local network, with a wifi router installed. The Auto Run feature can be programmed to run by time or volume of water produced, making it customizable for the user’s yacht. Optional tank level gauges give even more control over the water supply. One-Touch Sensor Calibration allows users to make sure the watermaker is operating at its peak.
Remote Manual
The new Remote systems perfectly bridge the gap between our full manual and completely automated watermaker systems. This simplified controller can be mounted remotely and offers basic control of the watermaker without the automation and real time diagnostics offered by the Spectra Connect. The Remote systems are a competitively-priced option for end-users who want the quality and water production of a Spectra system without full automation.
Automated Systems
Capitalizing on almost 20 years of experience building the world’s most automated and energy efficient watermakers, Spectra has taken a quantum leap in developing the next generation of commercial desalination systems. This compact series are constructed with super-duplex stainless steel for extreme corrosion resistance. These systems feature the revolutionary Pearson PumpTM, which is engineered to maintain the proper pressure throughout a wide range of ocean temperatures and water conditions.
